The State of Minnesota PDK Chapter 1612 offers a scholarship of $1,000 to one high school senior who intends to pursue a career in education. In addition, students who submit applications to our chapter are eligible to compete for Prospective Educator scholarships directly from PDK International. A committee of the Minnesota Chapter selects the top two applications to forward to PDK International. The scholarship application form can be downloaded below.
Scholarship applications will be reviewed by a committee of the Minnesota State Chapter Board, and two of these applications will be forwarded to PDK International to compete for their Prospective Educator scholarships. One applicant will be selected to receive our Minnesota Chapter 1612 scholarship of $1,000.
Minnesota High School students who intend to major in a field of education are invited to apply for scholarships through Phi Delta Kappa International (PDK) and through the Minnesota Chapter of PDK.

Emily Keller has been awarded the $1000 MN State chapter Award
"I have been involved in many things in my school and community. In school I participated in band, orchestra, chamber orchestra, and choir. I was also a part of the National Honors Society. I have been in dance since the age of three and by the time of my senior year I was taking eight dance classes a week. I also taught my own ballet class. I discovered my love for teaching from this ballet class and also my participation in my church. I was able to assistant teach a middle school youth group and teach my own Sunday School class for three years.
I will be pursuing my passion for teaching at the University of North Dakota. I am very excited to do something I love as my career."

1. If you are a High School senior intending to major in education and a member of Educators Rising
_a. Go to https://www.educatorsrising.org/ and log in.
_b. Click on What We Offer, then Scholarships
_c. Complete the application online and submit the required documents
2. If you are a High School senior intending to major in education and NOT a member of Educators Rising, Signing up is free, and you can become a member even if there is no Educators Rising club in your school.
_a. Go to https://www.educatorsrising.org/
_b. At the bottom right corner of that page, click on Log In or Sign Up, and follow the directions on the page that comes up.
_c. Log in and go to What We Offer, then Scholarships
_d. Complete the application online and submit the required documents
3. If you are the child or grandchild of a member in good standing of Phi Delta Kappa.
_a. Go to http://pdkintl.org/ then click on Scholarships, grants, …
_b. Click on Prospective Educator Scholarships and the red “Apply Now!” link
_c. Click on the red Prospective Educator Scholarships heading
_d. Complete the online application, starting with “Create or Edit Application”
_e. You will need to supply your parent or grandparent’s PDK membership number.
_f. Complete the application online and submit the required documents
